On my last magazine assignment, I just ran out of time and had to send it in less than perfect shape. It's still gnawing at me.Lucy Merrillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03376082551787190249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1431211160708026339.post-65897491832239815402011-09-08T09:53:41.877-07:002011-09-08T09:53:41.877-07:00As for sucky writing, all I can say is thank goodn...As for sucky writing, all I can say is thank goodness for the time to edit.Rita Webbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15705211010768041660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1431211160708026339.post-21655565095636210392011-09-07T18:24:07.140-07:002011-09-07T18:24:07.140-07:00Chuck, if you really wanted to do it, I'll bet...Chuck, if you really wanted to do it, I'll bet you could pitch a column to a local newspaper. As long as you're willing to accept laughably small pay for it, there are possibilities. And you can point to your blog to show you have the chops.Lucy Merrillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03376082551787190249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1431211160708026339.post-33974502283698628002011-09-07T16:23:46.862-07:002011-09-07T16:23:46.862-07:00The only writer I knew before he or she really &qu...The only writer I knew before he or she really "made it big" was Rheta Grimsley (Johnson), one year ahead of us at Lee. Someone told me, I think, that Linda Bowles from our class was a writer, but I'm not sure about that. I do know she was really smart and funny.

I don't know why I blog.
